🎬 Phase 49: Time to Wine, Recline, and Have a Reel Good Time at Oaks Center Cinema! 🍷🛋️🍿
What’s up ya Movie Mates?
I have a very exciting announcement that I have been waiting to make for many moons. You may remember from a previous blog that I stated, “Each month we strive to be able to release the next phase of our 52-phase plan for Oaks Center Cinema.” Well, kids, we are ready to roll out Phase 49 of our 54-phase plan!
Phase 49 is the time to drink some wine, feel fine, and RECLINE! It was supposed to be phase 46, but that didn’t rhyme with recline. I know, mind blowing! Oaks is finally getting luxury recliners! In the immortal words of Stu from Scream, “But wait, there’s more!”, we are also getting Dbox Recliners. I’m glad you asked, Dbox seats will rock your world, literally. These are motion-synchronized recliners that move to the action on screen in real time! This is no easy task, so it will take some time, but we hope to have this completed by the end of summer!
In the meantime, movies are BACK! Lilo and Stitch broke the record for the highest-grossing Memorial Day weekend movie of all time! Combine that with Mission Impossible, which hit #17 on that same list, and we have an incredible record-breaking Memorial Day Weekend. If you missed either of those movies, we will still have plenty of showtimes for the next couple of weeks, but don’t wait too long. There are a ton of movies coming out that we need to make room for.
Little do many people know, but to become a Movie Theatre Manager, you must undergo a vigorous and brutal set of trials that sometimes span decades. These trials, when translated from ancient Aramaic, are known as the “TMS Trials”. A set of three grueling, arduous, and sometimes degrading trials taught by three different Movie Gurus in the three corners of the Bermuda Triangle. While all who complete these intense, life-altering, and borderline sadistic trials are bound to the secrecy of what is known as the “Binding Covenant of Secrecy”, there is one teaching that is encouraged to be bestowed upon the movie-going masses. Today, I will share with you, my most trusted Movie Mates, the sacred and final teachings of the third Movie Guru. On my final day of the final trial, the Guru unchained me, leaned over and whispered in a raspy voice, “Listen well, harbinger of moving pictures, for if you wish more souls to fill your temple of dreams, you must give them not just a show but a sanctuary for experiences and merriment!”
So long story short, we have a slew of summer deals that will have already started by the time you read this long-winded blog. We are introducing matinee pricing up until 4:00pm EVERY day, with children’s tickets only $6 and adults $12.50. We will also be doing a $1 Summer Kids Series, Mondays through Thursdays at 11:00 am from June 16th to August 21st, with a different movie each week. My personal favorite from the lineup is “An American Tail”. We have also reduced the price on our classic series from $10 to $5! The lawyers are telling me to say, “All pricing and showtimes are subject to change. Certain restrictions may apply.”
I am so glad that I was able to finally announce that phase 49 of our 53-phase plan is coming soon. Hopefully, for July’s blog, I will be able to announce phase 1 of our 52-phase plan. Check out Oakscenter.net for all the great movies coming out this June that I didn’t talk about but probably should’ve instead of wasting time on a very true and not made-up story. Stay safe out there, Movie Mates.
